Our mission to achieve net-zero emissions reflects our dedication to a sustainable future, ensuring that we are not just participants in the global market but active stewards of our environment. We believe in taking bold steps today to secure a better tomorrow for future generations, integrating sustainability into the core of our business practices.
Over the years, we've done what we can such as replace halogen with LED light globes, minimise power usage, buy recycled where possible and started our transition to solar energy for our stores.
In 2024, we decided to do more and partnered with Klean Technologies and Tasman Environmental Markets to offset the carbon emissions created by our business. This means all emissions in handling every order for our customers by purchasing the equivalent amount of carbon credits to neutralise our footprint.
As part of this partnership, we asked our customers to vote on 8 Australian and overseas-based projects that meet the Australian Government’s Climate Active Carbon Neutral Standards. Collectively our customers voted for the following 4 most preferred projects:

Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory is prone to extreme, devastating wildfires that affect the landscape, people, plants and animals. These projects are owned exclusively by Indigenous people with custodial responsibility for those parts of Arnhem Land under active bushfire management. Local Indigenous rangers conduct controlled burns early in the dry season to reduce fuel on the ground and establish a mosaic of natural firebreaks, preventing bigger, hotter and uncontrolled wildfires later in the season. Widespread land clearing has significantly impacted local ecosystems. This degradation and loss of plant species may threatens the food and habitat on which other native species rely. Read more
- Environmental Planting & Reforestation, WA
The project has been designed to be planted in narrow belts and small blocks during 2012 and 2013 expressly for the purpose of carbon abatement. The trees are thriving and contributing to environmentally regenerative outcomes in the surrounding landscape that continue to be farmed by the landholder. Read more
- April Salumei Rainforest Conservation, PNG
The April Salumei project protects and sustainably manages nearly 200,000 hectares of globally significant pristine rainforest in the East Sepik Province of Papua New Guinea. The project area has previously been recognised as an exceptional biodiversity hotspot by the Climate Community and Biodiversity Standard (SCS, 2011). Before becoming a carbon project, the area was planned to be cleared for logging. Read more
