How does a Fuel Manager Pre-Filter work?

Installing a Direction Plus™ Fuel Manager Pre-filter kit between the fuel tank and the O.E.M fuel filter, the Fuel Manager will remove the majority of water and particle contamination. This leaves the O.E.M. fuel filter to do the final and finer filtration. This ensures you are maximising the protection of your diesel fuel system.

Why is installing a Pre-Filter Kit Important?

Ultra-Low Sulphur Diesel (ULSD) is susceptible to water emulsification, i.e., water molecules suspended in diesel, which is harder to remove than in traditional diesel fuel. This is why old technology like sedimenters work relatively well removing whole water but struggle with emulsified water, which is the contaminant you can’t see. The Direction Plus Fuel Manager Pre-Filter kit handles extreme weather conditions and poor fuel quality by removing water and other contaminants from Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel.

If your item isn't available nearby, we might need a little extra time to handle your order. Also, items can be combined to reduce shipping costs.

No problem! You may return or exchange any product within 30 days, as long as the item is in resalable condition and is returned in its original packaging. You will be responsible for the original and return shipping charges and a restocking fee of 10%. This also applies to orders cancelled during transit. If your original purchase price includes shipping, please contact us to confirm the original shipping cost. A refund, credit or replacement will be issued after we have received the package and confirm the item is in a resalable condition. Returns will not be accepted if you contact us after 30 days of receiving the item.
