Why iDRIVE?
Rather than a traditional accelerator cable, many modern vehicles use 'fly by wire' throttle technology. This system relies on a sensor that measures the pedal pressure and position and sends a signal to the vehicle's engine computer which converts to acceleration. Many of these fly by wire systems have a noticeable delay. iDRIVE allows you to tune the signal from the accelerator pedal with multiple inbuilt settings to ensure you find a setting that suits your driving style, although there are other products on the market that can offer this performance.
What makes iDRIVE different?
iDRIVE includes an automatic control function that changes the level of throttle performance based on pedal pressure. So if you are in traffic and accelerating gently the iDRIVE will select setting 1. If you are accelerating hard to overtake, towing a heavy trailer, or just having fun the iDRIVE will select 9. How iDRIVE works?
The iDRIVE has multiple settings and ensures it suits everyones driving style.
Eco Mode ECO mode is designed for economy by reducing the accelerator response time. Also handy when you are on the trails and looking for a bit more throttle control when crawling.
Ultimate Mode Ultimate Mode offers 9 sensitivity levels, this allows the driver to tune the controller to the desired level of sensitivity.Choose level 9 and grip the steering wheel tight or hit level 1 for a gentle smooth acceleration.
AC Mode Automatic control mode automatically selects the sensitivity level based on pedal pressure. If you are in traffic and accelerating gently the iDRIVE will automatically choose a reduced level of throttle response. If you accelerate hard for overtaking or just even just for fun the iDRIVE will choose a mode with an increased level of throttle response. Automatic Control mode is what makes iDRIVE the most intelligent throttle controller on the market.

Took about 30 mins to install in the RG Colorado, would have been quicker if I was scrawny enough to get in under the dash. It is very straight forward and easy to do. Taking the ute out afterwards and it noticeable the difference. Out here in the central west there are plenty of varied conditions to put this unit through its paces, I am legitimately impressed. Best little investment yet.

Thank You iDrive. I am soooo impressed. How much safer for us workers on the road is this? I have a company VW 2014 Transporter Work Van with 2L 400nmTD , dsg and 4 motion. The DSG clutch fully engages at 1000 rpm. The turboÕs donÕt kick in until 1400 rpm and the wheels wonÕt spin. So for 400 rpm I have a flat spot where my beast has no blow and is useless. I plant the foot when pulling out uphill into fast moving traffic and pray it getÕs moving. Rude Rob from RRR Motors in Hastings introduced me to the iDrive and fitted mine in 15 minutes. The improvement in driver safety of heavily loaded small turbo diesel vehicles is mind boggling. If I ran a fleet of small diesels I would fit the iDrive to every vehicle as a standard safety feature. An unfortunate side effect I have noticed is that I canÕt wait to hit the road each day. What an absolutely awesome piece of tech, best money IÕve spent, just bought it this morning and was fitted by MCC Dandenong, a soon as i drive off i couldnÕt believe the amount of throttle response had changed, instant power and torque was gained with no lag, i running it in a Jeep SRT so what idrive has done to improve an already beastly 6.4Ltr Hemi motor is truly amazing! Great product, really easy to install too. Noticed a difference straight away and I’ve only had it in ‘auto’ mode! I have a manual and makes that lag go away. Totally recommended.
